We advise employers and employees, regarding German employment contracts, vacation entitlements, collective bargaining agreements, the works council*, warnings after inappropriate behavior, termination, redundancy payments, and severance agreements.
*Under German law, a company may have an employee representative committee [Betriebsrat], if at least five employees vote for it. This works council has rights and must be consulted before management makes certain work or employment decisions.
